A mindfully paced hatha yoga class incorporating both static postures and flowing sequences. Focusing on breath, intention and gratitude for what is right now. Beneficial for all yoga levels whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years. Modifications and variations will be offered and demonstrated to help support wherever you are on your journey. Hatha is the union of opposites. Ha = Sun. Tha = Moon. Balancing the physical and mental bodies. The physical providing strength and stamina to maintain mental stillness and peace.

This total body 45-minute class will incorporate a variety of training tools (TRX, Kettlebells, but not limited to) that will help improve your muscle strength & aerobic conditioning. Come ready to work hard, and have fun!

If you come to this class expecting a traditional practice, you will be surprised. The poses are the same and the teachings and philosophy of yoga are honored, but the sequencing in unique and untraditional. Through the years yoga teaching and practice, Joan has worked with a variety of participants. The goal is always to provide a safe and successful environment for everyone to practice yoga, their yoga. This class offers yoga and fitness activities for all levels. We all come to the mat with different bodies and different experiences. One size does not fit all. Variations, alternatives and options are always needed to accommodate body structure, comfort level and safety in a practice. Yoga is Fitness embraces this initiative with the intention of ensuring that everyone feels accepted, included and valued for their effort and their practice.
